I am EJ, an Early Childhood Educator working with a community of learners in Vancouver, BC. I work with children ages 18 months to 5 years old and adults who are anywhere from 20 to 70 years of age. All of the programs I currently work in or run are operated by a neighbourhood house in East Vancouver that is a designated Reggio Emilia learning centre. I am also working towards a Masters in Education from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Victoria.

As a mother and educator I am interested in educative practices that nourish children’s innate curiosities and boundless capacity for knowledge. In addition, I believe children need space and opportunity to solve their own problems, create their own ideas, and play freely.
